@Thinkseeker1 it has such a cool premise and atmosphere. henry's apartment is so sick, probably my favorite aspect of the game. the second half irritated me a bit since it turns into one long escort mission but aside from that i thought it was awesome
@cooliniau ok looking at this, this is pretty sick. maybe if i replay the stages a bit more maybe my opinion will shift and i'll appreciate the stages more than i already do. im trying to S rank every stage in the game so im going to have to practice them eventually
@cooliniau Interesting perspective on the score attack. I want to clarify that I dont think the werehog action is inherently bad, im glad sega experimented with that aspect. I do also enjoy beat em ups and character action games. I think i just prefer one style to the other in this case
i wish sonic unleashed's werehog stages focused on platforming instead of having combat sections, because i think the platforming is really fun, and being able to propel yourself higher with the stretchy arms when grabbing onto ledges at different heights could be used
@heckingchonker true and thats one of my favorite parts about the night stages, learning where you can skip parts of the stages encourages replays to lower the time. i think i just prefer the platforming as a whole over the action and i wished it was pushed a bit further
to push the games level design further. i also think that some of the attacks could be repurposed into movement options to design levels around as well, like the mid-air windmill or the needle attack. i feel like people might've been more receptive to the night stages and would
saw a post a while ago that said something like "they dont make protagonists like him anymore", with this picture of neku attached and it made me realize that i cant name a protagonist in modern AAA games that is abrasive/ unruly.
