Turns out building this on Flutter is really paying off. Tried running Tab-Pebble app on web today and with barely any code changes, the whole UI adapted to desktop screens.

One codebase. Phone, tablet, now browser too. Windows/Mac app is next.

Got the app talking to a real thermal printer today. Connected over Bluetooth to a YHD-8003 and printed an actual invoice.

Small win on paper, but seeing it come off a real printer instead of a screen hit different. Feels real now.

Missed 2 days for family stuff, Claude Code never stopped building.

Turns out Supabase's free tier caps auth emails at 2/day, killed registration. Moved auth to Firebase.

Also landed my first client, a service center. Now supports Retail, Restaurant & Service Center modes.

8 hours in and my mind is completely blown.

Guided Claude Code (using Fable 5) for a single workday, and it built a fully working POS prototype from scratch. Not just a basic Flutter UI it hooked up the entire Supabase backend, schemas, and configs so everything runs end-to-end.

Random thought from a brainstorm session yesterday: why do POS systems need so much hardware? What if it's just a phone app, fully cloud synced?

Not a new idea, but I want to challenge myself: build a full POS system using AI code assistants and see how fast I can ship it.

Annoyed at how many tokens PDFs burn (and how scrambled multi-column layouts get) when pasted into ChatGPT/Claude. Built a rule-based PDF→Markdown parser instead no API, no key, works offline. Headings, tables, images, reading order, all handled locally
