🚨 Mbappé Calls for FIFA to Scrap the World Cup Third-Place Playoff

🗣️Kylian Mbappé: "I'll be honest, I don't think the World Cup third-place match makes any sense. Once you've missed out on the final, your dream of lifting the trophy is over. Asking players to return a few days later to fight for third place doesn't change that disappointment.

🗣️For me, the World Cup should be about winning it or finishing as runners-up. Third place has no real outcome. Personally, I don't feel it's worth spending our energy on a match that doesn't decide the champions.

🗣️We're all disappointed not to have beaten Spain. Our focus is already on improving and coming back stronger at the next World Cup, not on a third-place game.

🗣️I also believe England aren't excited about playing it either after everything they've gone through. FIFA should seriously consider scrapping the third-place playoff because I don't think it benefits the players or the competition.

maybe it'll help someone out there but the best lesson I learned in my 20s was to surround myself with great friends who weren't afraid of confrontation & being upfront with how they felt and open-minded in those hard conversations. dealing with indirect people who refuse to address problems directly and yet still talk about the issue behind your back to others will be a big source of anxiety & the pit in your stomach regarding friendships. there's a lot of wonderful people out there, but you absolutely do have to look ✨

Unrelated to Riftbound, Vancouver was one of the best cities I've ever traveled to

- Food was cheap (even in USD it would've been cheaper than I'm used to, conversion rate obviously made it even better)
- Food tasted "healthier" / less processed (may have been in my head but it seemed that way)
- Clean streets / good public transport / friendly people
- People were very friendly and polite

You Canucks have it pretty good up there in some spots ngl
