There are SO many talented actors and BLs this year.
You don't need to keep recycling the same nominees and inventing increasingly specific trophies just to make sure every major fandom gets its annual validation.

Sometimes an award show should actually award the work.

Meanwhile, 2026 has actually had so many BLs with great writing, directing, cinematography, performances, and genuinely impressive new actors who deserve to have their work recognized instead of watching the same (+)

2026 has given us genuinely great BLs, impressive performances, strong newcomers, interesting productions, and actors who are bringing something fresh to the genre—and some of them barely get acknowledged because they don't have a massive fandom army voting 24/7.

And look, popularity is absolutely a valid thing to recognize. If the award is explicitly a fan-voted popularity award, fine. Call it that.
But don't package every fandom voting result like it represents industry-wide recognition or artistic achievement.

Fandom votes → fandom mobilizes → fandom wins → fandom celebrates → organizers create another category → repeat.

“Most Phenomenal Phenomenon of the Year”
“Most Award-Worthy Person Who Has Already Won 17 Awards This Year”
At this point, just give them “Congratulations, You Again!” and save everyone the trouble.
