The compatability between him and Palmer has been an issue for a while now. Since Enzo cannot play in a pivot next to Caicedo, Palmer is forced out on the RW.
However, I do think Alonso would have found some solutions. Enzo is an excellent player and suits Alonso’s style to a tee, as does Palmer.
It’s not the end of the world, though. Palmer can play in the 10 with Estêvão RW, and we can get a partner for Caicedo who balances the team better and improves our physicality.
@Luke96628144@nufcpb And that’s my point on the Khusanov challenge. Might look different to you, but to me, he gets his leg across and the first contact is made with Joao Pedro’s knee. If not, I’m fine with all shoulder to shoulder challenges
@Luke96628144@nufcpb That’s fair, I still think the Khusanov challenge was a foul because he tries to step infront of him and stop him from getting away, but I’m fine with both calls not being a foul. The problem is the same action was also given as a foul and yellow to Caicedo in the same match
@Luke96628144@nufcpb No it’s not, Gordon is not running past Challobah.. The funny thing with your team is that Newcastle is the most physical/aggressive team but start crying when other teams get physical with you.. For the Khusanov challenge, he’s caught out of position, small diff. but still diff.
@Luke96628144@nufcpb It wasn’t.. Anthony wasn’t getting to the ball first.. Challobah and Anthony were getting to the ball at the same time and both went in with their shoulders, where as Khusanov is getting beat to the ball, and he’s never looking at the ball when he cuts Pedro off
If Moises Caicedo did this all the UK podcasters, twitter analysts and Gary Neville Overlap boys would be writing poems on how to end violent conduct in football
🚨 Rio Ferdinand blasts Gary Neville & Sky Sports on poor treatment of Cole Palmer at Chelsea:
🗣️ Ferdinand: “I’m going to be completely honest with you, because you know me, I always speak my mind. I look at what is happening with Cole Palmer at Chelsea and it actually baffles me. You have Manchester United legends and pundits like Gary Neville constantly questioning his consistency or playing down his brilliance on television. Why? The man is a generational talent who’s been carrying Chelsea’s attack almost single-handedly for seasons!”
“Instead of these legends being out there hyping Palmer as one of the Premier League’s best young stars, they stay quiet or they criticize. So what happens? Palmer is forced to watch his name dragged through transfer speculation and debates while he lets his stats speak for him. He has to remind everyone of the respect he deserves because the guys who should be protecting and elevating him are too busy trying to diminish him or fuel exit rumors. It’s crazy!”
“This would never happen at Arsenal. Legends like Ian Wright and Thierry Henry protect their own and elevate their modern stars like Bukayo Saka. At Chelsea, they’re making one of the BEST young players in the league fight for his true value and legacy while the noise around his future grows louder. Very sad... See more...
🚨❌VAR decided to allow another offside goal to stand in the Premier League.
📸Gyökeres, who was clearly offside when Timber headed the ball, interfered with Enzo Fernández's ability to play it.
👉Since Enzo would've had a chance to clear the ball had Gyökeres not been there, this is an offside offence.
🗣️ Mark Clattenburg: “Declan Rice defends a corner kick and clearly moves his arm to the ball and a penalty kick should have been awarded.
“We see each week the inconsistency with refereeing decisions and this week is no different. The ball comes from a long distance and a clear movement of the arm to the ball should always result in a penalty.”

I heard some fans say we need a singing section at the bridge. We just don’t get the same support at home as other teams or the away fans. I feel like home fans expect you to perform to earn their support, and when things aren’t going our way in a match, they get audibly upset, which causes the players to play under more pressure in pivotal moments of the game. Whereas away fans, and at other grounds, fans cheer the players through the struggles which helps the team and keeps pressure on opponents. That’s why we always drop points when we’re only up by 1 at home. If you compare it to the UCL, where the atmosphere is there all game, we perform so much better and we usually can come back from any score.
@TheMatchdayHQ@TEAMtalk If this guys goes to Newcastle, watch him not been seen as overly aggressive and error prone, but the media will paint him as passionate and a master of the dirty side of the game. Just watch, it’s a Chelsea thing
