We have been too busy to post much this year. 5 plots taken on at Ryeworth site in Charlton Kings and 3 more beds at St Marks site. A lot of compost moved, fences built and polytunnels erected. The veg we are now producing was worth it though, as you will find out...
Without volunteers we would struggle. Loads of @GE_UK volunteers turned up in the summer to prepare some land, we thought you might like to see how it went. Fabulous cabbages now being sold, sprouts will be ready for xmas.
This quality of cabbage is one of many veg now being delivered weekly to @cheltopendoor and
the Front Community hub
Are you a café, restaurant or other food place wanting to be on our list next year? email us at [email protected]
Garlic question, have left garlic to swell and it is doing so but the current rain is a concern. They have not died back yet, would you lift now or wait a week or 2 and risk rot? @DirtyGardenH0E
We could not run this project without some fantastic supporters, here are two groups from SHS-drinks who dramatically improved the allotment site as you can see.
@LoveGrowingVeg @CathHodsman Don't worry. Gardening is a highly protected profession. Standards of knowledge about plants etc. has been hard fought. People have spent years training to be a gardener.
Just be a re-wilder.
