Very happy that our paper on Rhodococcus equi (José A. Vázquez‐Boland & Wim G. Meijer) was a top downloaded paper in 2018-2019
It is dedicated to the memory of our colleague and friend Steeve Giguère, equine veterinary practitioner and R. equi researcher

Adjusting to the new normal. @WimGMeijer’s first remote lab group meeting. Great to catch up with the team after a very strange couple of weeks @UCD_SBBS@AcclimatizeEU @EUSWIMProject #EUIrelandWales
In figure 4, they shown polymorphisms in CX3CR1 gene, as CX3CR1 is important for antifungal responses, why does it vary a lot? Is there any conserved region which might be a key region for its function? #ccib2019week17
Our paper shows shared vaginal & uterine #microbiomes that differentiate early postpartum in healthy #dairycows. Loss of diversity and dominance by few taxa are related to a delayed succession in cows developing #postpartum#endometritis. #PLOSONE: https://t.co/R1vIhNIPk8
@UCDInfectionBio In DNA binding assay, they choose a really high GC content DNA fragment. Is this common in Neisseria chromosome? Would this affect the result? #ccib2019week8
@UCDInfectionBio in table 1 they listed many characteristics of the population. how does these elements relate to the results? do all these characteristics matter?#ccib18week12
@UCDInfectionBio in the hierarchical clustering analysis, there are many genes upregulated and down-regulated, why EZH2 and HDAC11 was chosen as a main research target?#ccib18week10
