@CounterPressers The perfect Iraola midfielder? You serious? Iraola demands rapid transition, progress the ball towards goal, and you have a player who likes to dwell on the ball, take 6 touches before passing horizontally.
@kfjcomps1 Instantly you can tell this guy exudes genuine confidence, a guy that believes in himself. I reflect back to Arne Slot’s first interview, his demeanour suggested he was overwhelmed.
@fplbaidy091 Rush is the greatest striker in English football history. If you saw him in his prime, he was a level above anything we’ve seen in he PL era, that includes Shearer, Fowler, Owen, Aguero, Suarez, Torres, Haaland etc etc
@AnfieldEdition@Plettigoal There must be encouragement from LFC otherwise Rio would not be entertaining this.
I don’t think this is a bad thing, as long as the fee is astronomical. Rio won’t naturally fit Iraola’s system. The kid doesn’t like to defend or press. In Germany he won’t have that worry.
@AnythingLFC_ If LFC want him and can afford him, then where’s the problem? LFC aren’t the ones who set the cycle of these astronomical fees. Just ambitious and bold. But also able to take the responsibility if it doesn’t work out.
@_LFCLOYAL_ Rio isn’t the right profile yet for Iraola’s system, yet. Iraola needs every player to be able to defend, Rio didn’t show that one bit last season. It’s something that can be trained into him. So yes, we need a left sided attacker. Yildiz would be the absolute ideal.
