Ss examine primary document information about the colony of Roanoke. CSI style. Using the argument writing CREEC format to write about what caused their disappearance. Will also use to write comparative paragraphs while reading the struggles of Jamestown in the novel.
Students had fun working on characterization. They independently read the short story, annotating about the characters. As a group they discussed and made paper dolls to demonstrate their knowledge of characterization.
@AdamMGrant I often want to promote the work but feel like others may think I'm promoting myself. So I don't say anything, and am often told I am too humble. It's a fuzzy line for me to process.
@MsLanchak It can be a struggle when you assume that anyone would do what you are doing, not realizing that they wouldn't always.
