The lower half of the mannequins in SH2R is apparently inspired by this old concept art of Maria by Takayoshi Sato, the creator of the characters, and of Silent Hill 2's original story concept.
It's thanks to him that this game is so deeply psychological and unique, and it saddens me that he's hardly ever mentioned nowadays.
