The message is, of course: "I don't want to leave", and on a deeper level: "I am happy I took part in this program. The quality of the experiences I've had and the relationships I've formed has had an significant impact on me and I am rueful that it has to end." #chgapp2018

One video student made a short video in response to one of my passport-promptings. This happened in the train, hence the garbage disposal area was right nearby. #Fernweh #Heimweh #chgapp2018

Several times during our trip, I reminded the students to double-check the location of their passport or to show it to me. Groans and okays were the norm response; but towards the end, more frequently: "I really like it here" and "Herr Graff, I lost my passport back in Berlin."

The final morning in Puchheim on July 17th. Students are thinking about home but loath to leave. (Most farewells took place the day before, otherwise there would not have been many dry eyes!) Evaluations of the Exchange are trickling in. #chgapp2018

Friday was our last official day at school at Gymnasium Puchheim. 10 or so students made presentations followed by friendly small-group discussions in an English class. As well, many CH students took part in a type of field day, giving tips about Basketball #chgapp2018
