@NorkDorf Polygamy is cultural and religious. It is also a lot of people’s realities. However expecting a movie or a tv show that’s fictional to teach you something is very naive. The realities of polygamy especially in Africa many don’t need to even go far it happens next to them.
This is silly. First of all polygamy is not just a ‘Muslim’ thing, it’s part of their culture as they displayed. Another thing is, do you guys actually watch movies and shows to learn Or for entertainment because I can not understand at all. Some to entertain you, you wan learn.
A serious Muslim shouldn’t even watch the movie. It doesn’t teach anything but three things:
1. How to lie and live a double life.
2. Toxic rivalry that destroys families from within.
3. Unnecessary heartbreak that drives people to the brink.
It isn't good at all because it doesn’t represent our reality. They are masking basic cheating and infidelity as polygamy just to trend.
For us, whether mono or poly, our homes operate on clear rules, open communication, and respect, not the dramatic chaos represented in the polygamist.
Something within me strong says na woman no write that script 😅. Na dem dem 😅
until you date a generous man (i didn’t say rich), you’ll understand that men love to provide for their women. they don’t wait to be asked, they genuinely find joy in doing it, they take initiative, they know your favorites and will order them
Bandits kidnapped a medical doctor. They tied him up, set up fire, grabbed his hand and put it inside the burning fire. Everyday, they burn a portion of his hand while he watched & screamed of severe pain. They kept burning the hand daily until they reached his shoulder. They then collected 15 million naira ransom and still killed him. These are the animals government wants to forgive & reward with free houses.
Every girl should experience her own apartment, groceries in the fridge, candles lit, everything exactly how she wants it, and no man stressing her out. It really is a luxury experience.
This is why I don’t rate some Muslim men. They will leave women like this that love polygamy to go and marry the ones that hate polygamy.
As a Muslim man, your Sunnah is even better enjoyed with women like this. They already look forward to rotating you so you have no fear of getting any of them hurt. Win-win for you all.
Women get Audacity shaaa. 😳💔.
She told her husband a man is threatening to beat her up at her Shop place. The husband ask her what she did, she said it's because she told the man not to patronize her shop again.
The excuse didn't make sense to her husband but not to argue, the husband told her "Let him try it first and watch how I will deal with him then he will realize I don't joke with my wife".
Last week Tuesday, someone call the husband that his wife and a man are having serious fight. The husband rushed there upon hearing. On getting there! He met the man and his wife in serious confrontation with people around trying to separate them. The wife immediately kept to herself when she saw her husband.
The husband, out of curiosity didn't fight back the man nor insult him. He calmly ask the guy what the problem is? Without the guy knowing he's her husband, he responded! "She's my sex partner. She saw me with another woman and won't stop embarrassing me each time I passby, She told me she's a single mother and I can't marry or have anything serious with a single mother."
The husband in shock, told him he's her husband and walk away. 😩
On getting home! The man packed her bag and told her to leave. She said she will not leave because she's the one paying for the House rent.
The man pack his own bag instead and left the house for her.
She's is in my DM asking me to help talk to her husband...
Pls what Advice do you have for her?👇
I think Matipa was the most misunderstood character of them all.
Many people say she was shocking, but honestly, Matipa wasn't shocking. She was predictable.
What she did is what many women do in real life. She saw a man with money, influence, and status, and she wanted the life that came with him. The difference is that Matipa was extremely determined.
Jonasi was lustful, yes. He lacked principles and boundaries, which made him easy to tempt. But Matipa? She was strategic. She knew exactly what she wanted, and she pursued it relentlessly until she got it.
What stood out to me wasn't that she wanted Jonasi. It was how far she was willing to go to make sure she had him.
I also think Matipa believed she was "The woman", the younger, prettier, more exciting option. She seemed convinced that everything the first wife lacked, she possessed. What she failed to understand is that being chosen by a man who easily abandons his family is not necessarily a victory.
Because if a man can walk away from one woman for you, what guarantees that he won't walk away from you for someone else?
That's why, for me, Matipa wasn't shocking. #Thepolygamist
Nobody doing zilch to help or resuscitate her, in case she's still alive. This is what frightens me the most about the state of functional illiteracy in our society. The average Nigerian bystander is useless.
Fist, second, third, fourth whatever it is a healthy marriage requires space so no one should be breathing down your neck even when you’re the only wife. I see some women say things like this and it confuses me, it seems like you want to marry your enemy because if not what?!
Second wife, third wife, or even fourth wife I’ll enter o . I genuinely value my space and peace of mind. Having a few days away from someone breathing down my neck sounds perfectly fine to me.
This is a typical example of a man trying to impose his life decisions on someone, he really could have walked away if that’s not what he wanted, but instead he wanted to have it all and now blames her for his own choices. She wanted so and so for herself he didn’t need to do it.
The culture of “rufa asiri” is one of the reasons we are where we are in Arewa today. A child molester? Rufa masa asiri. A criminal? Rufa masa asiri. A thug terrorizing communities? Rufa masa asiri. Yanzu Nigeria dinma anache mu rufa mata Asiri.
This is such a misguided and unfair thing to say about someone who has done nothing but lend his voice, his energy, his time, and his resources in the advocacy for good governance and better living conditions for the people — something I’m sure you aren’t doing!
“Matar rufin asiri” and it’s infidelity, adultery and Zina. Some of you are actually mad, and the women who enable you people are equally stupid….
Punishment for adultery is being stoned to death, are you people actually out of your minds???
It’s been 29 days since 42 students were abducted from Mussa Primary and Junior Day Secondary School in Askira-Uba, Borno State. For 28 days, their parents (and all parents) have lived in fear, uncertainty, and anguish. The gov’t just reintegrated terrorists in the same state!
This happened yesterday, a funeral for 17 people who were killed by bandits in Goran Namaye community, Maradun LGA of Zamfara State.
HOW MANY OF YOU POST ABOUT IT?
There was a time I wanted to take my daughter, Nusaiba, to school. As I was about to leave, she insisted that we should use a particular car instead of the one I had already chosen. I told her, Nusaiba, there’s no fuel in this car. Let’s use the other one because it has almost a full tank. She replied, “No, Mummy. I know there’s no fuel because you haven’t driven this car in a while. But you always tell me that prayer works. You always say that when we make du’a and do tawassuli through Prophet Muhammad (SAW), anything can happen and the impossible can become possible.”
No matter how much you love Islam or how passionate you are about it, you will appreciate and enjoy it even more when you discover it for yourself rather than merely inheriting it. Self-conviction is stronger than inherited conviction.
Inheriting the religion is a blessing, but discovering it through your own knowledge/understanding and conviction is a greater blessing.
