Hate to say it but this weekend's weather isn't looking favorable for celestial viewing. As a result, we are rescheduling the Coatesville Star Party to Saturday, April 4, starting at 7:30 pm. It will still be held in Pavilion 5 at Hibernia County Park, hosted by Ranger Rita.

Notice: Chester County parks and trails are closing early at 4:00 pm today, February 22. They will be closed all day tomorrow, Feb. 23, as well. Stay safe out there, folks!

Visitors are not allowed on the ice in our county park system. Our rangers teamed up with the Friendship Fire Company Diving Rescue Unit for ice rescue training in the Schuylkill Canal. While it's important to practice these lifesaving skills, we hope to never have to use them.

We are happy to report that the Great Barn at Springton Manor Farm has reopened for visitors. Please come say hi to the animals!

The Great Barn at Springton Manor Farm is undergoing some necessary repairs. The work requires that the barn remains closed to the public until the end of next week. The bathrooms are still open, as is the rest of the park.

Chester County parks will be closed on Thursday, December 25, so our rangers can spend time with their loved ones. It’s the one day a year all county parks are closed. We look forward to seeing you back in the park soon!

Springton Manor Farm Notice: Ongoing tree work over the next several days will affect park usage. However, the park is still open as is the Carriage House parking lot. Access to the Great Barn will be through Maple Lane until the work is complete in that area.

Chester County parks are opening at 10:00 am this morning to give the Facilities Parks Maintenance team a chance to treat roads and clear drifts. We especially appreciate their hard work on days like this!
