Education Library Service is leaving Twitter/X! While we'll no longer be posting here, you can still find us being very bookish on Instagram and Facebook. You can also visit our website for the latest news and information. Goodbye!
Thank you @CheshireELS for bringing the library bus to school today. The Reading Champions had an amazing time choosing books for our classes. The way the children talked about their choices and their knowledge of books was amazing to see. Happy Reading! 📚💕
So lovely to have Code Name Kingfisher by Liz Kessler and The Things We Leave Behind by Clare Furniss on the shortlist for the 2025 Cheshire Schools’ Book Award! Thank you @CheshireELS ✨📚

Alongside my colleagues, @CllrRDaniels and Cllr Charles Hardy, it was a real pleasure to visit the 'Cheshire Education Library Service' this week. Their ethos is: 'Enriching learning and promoting reading for pleasure' which is something I 100% agree with and support @CheshireELS
This afternoon we had a great time visiting the @CheshireELS Book Bus. We enjoyed picking out some new reading books for our class libraries. #lovereading#readingforpleasure
So excited about my events with @ToonLibraries and @CheshireELS on 3/5! If you're at a school in Newcastle or Cheshire you had better watch out, because by the end of each event, I'll have done several impossible things. The question is, can you work out how?@WalkerBooksUK

The year 2 pupils from @smcaschool visited us this morning.
They enjoyed a craft session inspired by Clement C Moore’s festive poem The Night Before Christmas.
They also had a tour of the library & all chose a book to borrow.
We had a fab time with you, you were all stars!!
