Elon is being selfish, but not you politicians. You could spend his money on so many other altruistic things and he would just use it to take humanity to Mars, maybe the asteroid belt, silly things like that. So, there appears to be no end to line of the politicians with alternative lists of altruistic projects to fund today. Screw you all.

Why be concerned? I'm happy. Like you said, he couldn't possibly spend all that money on himself over a thousand years, so what will he do with it? Probably reinvest it to make new companies with new ideas, take us to Mars or to the asteroid belt, and a number of things that could carve his name into humanity's list of legendary figures, long after all of the sterile politicians of the day have all been forgotten. Everyone remembers Christofer Columbus, Marco Polo. Wish him success.

You politicians don't know the first thing about earning money, which involves satisifying human wants. The more competent you are with that, the more you get to reinvest. You call Elon selfish for not turning his money over to you, although everyone knows nothing good is ever done by this overwrought government with that, but there are none of your ilk that can make a damned thing for anyone. You can only overspend wastefully, and for the benefit of your brief time in power. Shut up already!

1) It's capped, as are the payouts. 2) Elon is not likely to ever draw from that anyway. 3) It's a Ponzi scheme and doomed to fail. 4) Politicians like you draw those funds into the general pool and spend as soon as you get it and then way more than that, putting us nearly $40 trillion in debt. And 5) Elon will do a lot more for the benefit of humankind with keeping his earnings than you would do in a thousand years, you who make nothing, but dream incessantly of rationales to take, take, take. You're no altruistic. You're a predator with an altruistic mask.
