Just received a call from a foreigner involved in the WhatsApp scam currently circulating in Sri Lanka. He claimed to be hosting a meeting with NPP in Colombo and asked me to join via group call. Then, he told me to share the "code" displayed on my screen to join – but this was actually my WhatsApp OTP!

⚠️ Remember: If you share this OTP, your WhatsApp account can be hacked instantly, potentially being used for financial scams.

Please do not share your OTP or verification codes with anyone, no matter what they say
