And then what was really, really disturbing to us was why. We kept asking ourselves why. So we actually just took a sample and looked at voter registration records, and we found people here registered to vote in this population. Yes.

Who did vote? From our sampling, we found that they—illegals—ACTUALLY DID VOTE.”

In conclusion these systems are closed loop and may require a small amount of water to overcome small leaks. But over all once it's filled the facility uses more water flushing toilets than it uses for cooling servers.

Most systems have the ability to circulate the warm chill water outside during temperate conditions to free cool the water with fans over closed loop coils so as to not have to run chillers during cooler weather.

The CDU has a heat exchanger that transfers the heat from the closed loop secondary water system to the primary chill water so that it can be transfered outside. The CDU has pumps on secondary side to control the flow and a valve on primary side to control temperature.

The warm water enters the chiller which is a machine that uses a refrigerant to absorb the heat from the water. This refrigerant then transfers the heat to a closed loop air to water heat exchanger.
