Welcome back to a new school year. Realised I haven't posted in a while, so looking forward to sharing all of the wonderful things we get up at Forest School π³π¦
This week we have introduced the "word of the woods". A password which is whispered to enter the forest school site. The word is then discussed and used during our play. I never knew that the horse chestnut and sweet chestnut trees aren't actually related π²
A big thank you to Castle Hill Primary for choosing us as your trusted provider of outdoor structures. Your satisfaction and positive feedback mean the world to us, and we're grateful for the opportunity to bring your vision to life. πΏ

Today I introduced the children to Cleavers, which is more commonly known by the fun term- stickyweed or goose grass π We spent ages creating a sticky weed monster, building a den to escape from the monster and rolling around trying to avoid sticky weed attacks. A great day π€
A before and after of @CastleHill_Ips@CHForestschool new 6m x 6m Forest Fire Pit Shelter. What a transformation! π₯° Thanks for purchasing and for accommodating us today. Itβs been a pleasure and we hope the children and staff love it! Cannot wait to see pics of you using it π₯°
Today has been wonderful. Thank you to all the parents and children for all their hard work on our tree planting day. The buzz around the site and the enthusiasm shown has been incredible. Lots of tired children, adults and a forest school leader this evening π΄ @CH_Curriculum
Let the tree planting commence π²π³ Thank you @WoodlandTrust for our tree saplings. The children have really enjoyed being part of this project and having a positive impact on protecting our environment π

Snail racing, slug finding, vegetable planting and hot cross bun cooking.....where else would you get such a strange mixture of activties than at a forest school session ππ #forestschool#childled#engage#inspire#nature
A key principle in forest schools is being child led. Giving children the freedom to explore their own interests is hugely beneficial. Here are some photos of Year 4 and 5 demonstrating some of their chosen activities π #forestschool#childledlearning#curious @CH_Curriculum
This week we welcomed back Framlingham House for their second block of forest school. The season may have changed but their enthusiasm and interest certainly hasn't! A great week looking for signs of spring and doing all the things we love β€οΈ #forestschool#nature @CH_Curriculum
