What distinguishes Sebaashray is its scale and intent, a programme designed not for symbolic outreach, but for real, measurable relief across communities.

Day 17 at Budge Budge marked another step in grounding our mission in action. Care was delivered through an integrated system, where multiple units worked in sync to ensure early detection, timely intervention, and continuity of treatment.

Day 17 highlights:

🔍 4,423 diagnostic tests helped identify health concerns early and accurately.
💊 4,194 free medicines ensured treatment continued without interruption.
🩺 7,881 medical consultations offered clear guidance to every patient.
🏥 29 referrals issued connected more serious conditions to specialised care without delay.

This is how we build a healthier Diamond Harbour, through consistent effort, accountability, and care that reaches those who need it most.

Every stop Sebaashray 2 makes redraws the map of public service, shifting care closer to communities that need it most.

At Maheshtala, that idea translated into something simple and powerful: eighteen people entered Renuka Eye Hospital with failing vision and walked out able to see clearly again. Cataract surgery is a small procedure on paper, but in real life, it restores mobility, work, and dignity.

For many families, something as routine as eye surgery often gets postponed indefinitely because access, cost, and distance stand in the way. #Sebaashray2 intervenes precisely at that point, ensuring that timely medical care reaches people before preventable conditions become lifelong burdens.
From identification to surgery, the process was handled end-to-end, ensuring that patients were supported at every stage. No confusion, no uncertainty, only care delivered when it was needed most.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

On Day 16 of #Sebaashray2 in Budge Budge, the answer took shape not in rhetoric, but in action. What unfolded was a healthcare system conceived with foresight, executed with precision, and anchored in an unwavering commitment to each patient’s journey from concern to care.

In Diamond Harbour, I have sought to ensure that the question of “what are you doing for others” is answered not through statements, but through the quiet consistency of service where people remain at the centre of every decision, every process, and every outcome.

Day 16 of Sebaashray 2 reaffirmed this ethic. It reflected a model of governance where service is steady rather than episodic, accountability is built into action, and impact is measured by outcomes that genuinely improve lives.

“To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.”

Day 15 of #Sebaashray2 in Budge Budge stood as a living reflection of this truth. Not as a staged programme or a symbolic outreach, but as a grounded exercise in what sincere public service actually looks like when it reaches people where they are.

What unfolded in Budge Budge was governance in its most human form. Doctors listened before they prescribed, teams responded before questions were asked, and reassurance travelled as freely as treatment. There was no rush to perform, only a commitment to serve quietly, patiently, and thoroughly.

This is the measure of people-centric governance: when sincerity guides service, and integrity anchors every decision, public trust is not demanded, it is earned.

#Sebaashray2 carries a certain steadiness, the kind that allows people to wait without fear and leave without doubt.

From morning through the final consultations, the camps at Budge Budge moved with an unspoken discipline: one rooted in trust, familiarity, and the knowledge that everyone would be taken care of.

The strength of the day lay in its outcomes, quietly accumulating across every hour.

🔍 2,130 tests identified health concerns early and accurately.
💊 1,903 free medicines ensured uninterrupted treatment for every patient.
🩺 3,876 consultations connected residents with clear medical guidance.
🏥 1 referral linked a serious case to the specialised care they require.

Day 15 made one thing clear: empathy, when institutionalised through public healthcare, becomes a force of governance. In Budge Budge, that force was felt quietly, but unmistakably.

Day 13 of #Sebaashray2 in Metiaburuz reflected disciplined planning and on-ground coordination, where the camps operated as a single, integrated public health system with clear accountability at every step.

Each desk, each queue, and each consultation reflected a system built to reduce delay, eliminate uncertainty, and deliver timely intervention.

Here is Day 13 at a glance:

🔍 4,001 tests identified health concerns early and accurately.
💊 3,917 free medicines ensured uninterrupted treatment for every patient.
🩺 6,798 consultations connected residents with clear medical guidance.
🏥 32 referrals linked serious cases to the specialised care they require.

By the close of Day 13, Sebaashray 2 in Metiaburuz reaffirmed what effective public service looks like when planning, accountability, and delivery move in unison.

Instead of making people undertake exhausting journeys for basic treatment, #Sebaashray2 quietly alters the direction of care, it goes to the people, bringing practical solutions through camps held across almost every neighbourhood, ensuring that no one is left at the margins of access.

As Day 13 of Sebaashray 2 unfolds and the programme nears its conclusion in Metiaburuz, its impact is impossible to miss.

Across the camps, a wide range of services are being provided, careful medical consultations, free medicines, vision and hearing support, and essential assistive care, all delivered in one place, without barriers or delays.

What distinguishes Sebaashray, however, is not merely the breadth of services rendered, but the dignity with which they are delivered.

“The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.”

Day after day, #Sebaashray2 proves that kindness is not a ritual, not a performance, not a staged promise, it is a force that walks straight into the lives of the people. You can hear it in the steady hum of service that refuses to pause, even for a moment.

Sebaashray is not just an initiative, it is a reminder that governance can have a heartbeat. That care can be limitless. That compassion can be organised, disciplined, and unshakeable.

Wherever it reaches, it leaves behind a simple truth: dignity is not charity, and service is not sympathy. It is responsibility. It is duty. And it is the moral compass that guides this mission every single day.

In each lane, under every tent, across every queue, Sebaashray embodies what true public service must look like: quiet, constant, and deeply human.

[Chhalauddin Mondal @ChhalauddinMon3]

[Abhishek Banerjee @abhishekaitc]

If you pause at any #Sebaashray2 site for even a minute, you will witness a hundred deliberate and compassionate acts happening in parallel, small in isolation but transformative in their collective power.

And today was no different, every corner of the camp carried its own quiet story of service.

🔍 4,336 tests identified health concerns early and accurately.
💊 5,434 free medicines ensured uninterrupted treatment for every patient.
🩺 5,346 consultations connected residents with clear medical guidance.
🏥 16 referrals linked serious cases to the specialised care they require.

As Day 12 drew to a close, #Sebaashray2 stood exactly as it began: a living testament to what governance can achieve when empathy is the first principle and service is the final word.

“If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path.”

#Sebaashray2 reminds me of this simple truth. Every time we reach out to someone in need, we are not just offering care, we are strengthening the very bond that holds our society together.

When a mother finds medicines she couldn’t afford, when an elderly man receives guidance he had long been denied, when a young worker finally understands the treatment he needs - these are not services. These are moments of dignity restored.

Sebaashray is where my duty and my heart meet. It reminds me that governance extends beyond files, directives, and formal orders. It is the responsibility to be present, to listen with intent, and to intervene even before a need is voiced.

And so, on Day 11, I renew what I believe with conviction: As long as I serve the people, I will ensure that no one is left without support, dignity, or hope.

Day 9 of #Sebaashray2 in Metiaburuz was a powerful reminder of what healthcare rooted in compassion can achieve. From the first light of morning, residents arrived with hope, and the teams were ready to meet every need with care, patience, and respect.

Every person who walked in received comprehensive support, free health camps welcomed all, essential medicines were distributed without charge. On-site diagnostic testing ensured immediate detection of health issues, while advanced referral services connected patients with specialised care seamlessly.

The registration process was simplified for each individual, and real-time digital monitoring maintained complete transparency, making access effortless and efficient. Families left with not just treatment, but clarity, confidence, and renewed trust in the system.

Sebaashray 2 continues to demonstrate that healthcare is not just about medicine, it is about restoring dignity, building trust, and showing that service delivered with compassion can transform lives.

Coming to Cooch Behar brings with it a renewed sense of purpose drawn from the affection, dignity, and unshakeable resolve of its people. Before addressing the public meeting at Ras Mela Ground, I spent time with local folk artists and paid my respects at the feet of Roy Saheb Thakur Panchanan Barma, social reformer, educationist, and the moral anchor of the Rajbanshi community. I did not go to Cooch Behar to ask for votes. I went to confront manufactured fear, because fear is the only tool left to the BJP.

Unable to defeat Bengal democratically, they have now resorted to punishing our people. Funds to the tune of ₹2 lakh crore, under various Central schemes like MGNREGA, Awas Yojana, Gram Sadak Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission, have been deliberately blocked out of political vindictiveness. Even after clear directions from the High Court and the Supreme Court, the Central Government continues to impose restrictive conditions to deny employment to our rural poor.

We will not accept policies that are anti-worker, anti-poor, and anti-Bengal. When MGNREGA was choked, we launched Karmashree from our own funds, generating 104.58 crore man-days of work for over 78.31 lakh job card holders, at an expenditure of ₹20,776 crore. We launched Banglar Bari, ensuring a roof over the heads of 12 lakh families, with 16 lakh more set to benefit. Under Pathashree I, II, and III, over 39,000 km of rural roads have already been built at a cost of ₹10,902 crore, with another 20,000 km underway.

BJP’s communal agenda seeks to fracture Bengal along religious and linguistic lines. But as long as our Ma-Mati-Manush Sarkaar stands, no communal poison will be allowed to take root in this soil. I do not practise politics using faith as a weapon. I respect all religions equally. The same forces that once pushed the nation into the abyss of demonetisation are now attempting to disenfranchise citizens through SIR. Speaking Bangla is being criminalised; Bengali-speaking citizens are being harassed and brutalised in BJP-ruled states.

They insult Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, slander Raja Ram Mohan Roy, vandalise Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s bust, and then lecture us on nationalism? Bengal needs no lessons from those who neither understand its history nor respect its culture. Bengalis have given their blood for this nation before. If required, we will stand again, to protect our land, our language, and our people.

Once again, I say, do not be afraid. “May I Help You” camps will continue. Not a single eligible voter’s name will be allowed to be deleted. Standing on the land of Rai Saheb Thakur Panchanan Barma, I reiterate my oath that there will be no NRC, no detention camps, and no persecution in Bengal. I am your sentinel. In moments of danger and injustice, you will always find us standing by you.

Day 7 of #Sebaashray2 marks the conclusion of our journey in Maheshtala, a week that has demonstrated, in the most tangible way, how effective healthcare delivery functions when every part of the system works in harmony.

Over the past seven days, doctors, nurses, diagnostic teams, and volunteers have worked together seamlessly, ensuring that no patient waits, no service is delayed, and no individual is left unattended.

As we close this chapter in Maheshtala, we celebrate more than just the numbers as thousands have benefited. We celebrate discipline, coordination, and trust in public service, and the way healthcare, when delivered with intention, can transform lives and strengthen communities.

The journey does not end here. Sebaashray 2 now moves to Metiaburuz, carrying forward the lessons, the energy, and the commitment of Maheshtala, to ensure that reliable, responsive, and dignified healthcare reaches every doorstep.
