I just heard someone say this prayer, "what money can buy and what money cannot buy, may God deliver them to our hands this week."
Amen o!๐

Friday Lesson:
Nothing fast tracks you better than having the resources to activate your dreams.
You can spend months, planning and strategizing while gathering small resources.
Someone else can have that same vision and execute it within a week because they have the finance to.
A 35 year old man has been pressuring his 28 year old girlfriend to get pregnant before he'd see her parents, stating clearly that infertility was a deal breaker for him.
For 18 months, they've been cohabiting and having regular intercourse, but she couldn't conceive.
The lady became worried and went for fertility screening test, which showed she was okay.
After plenty quarrel, the man agreed to get tested. Behold, he has been shooting blank.
The lady parked her bags to leave, because infertility is also her own deal breaker. Now, Oga is begging her to consider how far they've come. That she should not leave him when he needs her most.
She left nonetheless.
Do you think she is mean and ungrateful for choosing herself over him?
If you keep tolerating bad behaviour or letting people get away with their bad habits, you're not helping them. Rather, you're giving them the courage to continue
Few months ago, I had an unfriendly encounter with a patient in the clinic. It was a busy afternoon and the reception was crowded. Patients were being called in according to their tag number.
I had just called a patient from the system when the clinic door flew open and a middle-aged man and a nurse bursted in. The nurse was pleading with him to wait for his turn that he wasn't the one that was called, but the man insisted to be seen immediately.
I asked him his name, he provided it. I checked, there were still about 4 patients before him. I calmly asked him to wait for his turn.
Na so this man change am for me o. He started shouting and pouring vituperation at me and the nurses. I got angry, and told him that I won't attend to him, so he had better started going home.
The drama was too much. He went back to the reception, but I was determined to make good my statement. After seeing the patients before him, I called the next patient that came after him. Baba flared up again.
Coincidentally, the CMD came around and asked what was going on. He then apologised to the man, and asked him to apologise to the doctor and nurses he was abusing because he was obviously wrong. The man refused. CMD became offended and told him to go elsewhere for his treatment. That he apologised to him to calm him down but pride won't let him apologise to the staff he offended.
Other patients who were around condemned the man's action.
The man was shocked, but he left shamefully.
Fast forward to 2 months later, I called a patient, behold, the same man walked in. This time, it was his turn. He saw me and started apologising profusely. I told him I had nothing against him.
Since then, anytime he sees me, he'd be apologising. The guilt of his misbehaviour still hunts him. I've moved past that already, I hope he do likewise.
.....
Lessons;
. There's no excuse for had behaviour. If I had excused him, and not insisted on not attending to him, he probably wouldn't have seen the need to change
. If you reinforce bad habits, don't be surprised if it come back to hunt you
. Know your right and stand by it.

CHILD DEDICATION GONE WRONG (A true life story)
It was late Saturday evening when this 3 month old baby girl became ill. Some said it was children sickness that she'll be fine.
It started with mild fever, of which they gave syrup Paracetamol. But shortly afterwards, they noticed the child was breathing fast, following which she stopped sucking. At this point, little alarm fuse was set off. Maybe this wasn't children sickness after all. Within a blink, her temperature rose dramatically to above 39 degrees, then she started grunting.
They drove like James Bond to the Children's Emergency Unit, and yours truly was on duty. This was around 9:30pm
"Doctorrrrr! Nurrrrse!"
A woman burst into the Emergency Room, screaming out her lungs while clutching her baby as if that would prevent her from becoming an angel.
In a twinkle, the doctors and nurses gathered. Madam what happened? They asked. While she was narrating the story, they promptly assessed the child's vital signs, inserted a yellow cannula, gave emergency medications, and commenced oxygen and other resuscitation measures.
After about half an hour, some Lab results were released. Apparently, the child had Sepsis precipitated by Bronchopneumonia. She was also anaemic, and needed to be transfused. (In simple terms, the child had severe chest infection caused by bacteria, as well as low blood level)
At this point, the discussion of the requirements for admission commenced.
The father, who hardly spoke a word all these while, dropped the bomb.
"We're not staying for admission. Tomorrow is her dedication in church and I'm a pastor. My child cannot be admitted on the eve of her dedication. We will come back after service tomorrow to continue the treatment"
The healthcare team were too shocked to give an immediate response. But when we found our voice, we moved from anger, as to why the man will even conceive of going home, to pleading with him to reconsider his decision for the good of the child. When he remained adamant, we started pleading with his wife who was as helpless as the strangers gathered around. But pastor's word was final. And so, we watched as he took the child who was a lot better than she was an hour ago.
It was around 8:15am on Sunday morning. The night shift was over. The medics who did night were about handing over to those on morning shift, when suddenly we saw a very remorseful man, whose shoulder was like a hen drenched in the rain. He was standing at the entrance, too ashamed to come in. In his hands lay the child whom he had taken home 10hrs earlier despite all plea to let the child stay and receive medical care.
The child was halfway across the Atlantic.
As they were cooking and preparing for the child dedication, they suddenly noticed that the baby has become restless and febrile again. This time, there was no second chance. We did all we could, but the little angel went back to heaven on that cold Sunday morning.
What will pastor tell his congregation? Who will eat the rice that has been prepared? If only words and cries could raise the dead.
After all the wailing and lamenting, we packaged the child and handed her to her father to proceed for dedication with her remains.
A hard lesson learnt, a precious life, lost. A true life story of which i was a witness.

Lessons
. Ignorance and religion has taken more lives than accidents. Religious people behave as though the medical profession is an evil cult. And many have lost loved ones or even their lives while pleading the blood of Jesus.
. You may be lucky to escape some consequences but one day, your stubbornness will cost you greatly. Always listen to doctor's instructions.
. Our churches should do better at sensitizing members on the dangers of not following doctor's advice. But a church that have this kind of pastor is in trouble
. Please don't gamble with your health or that of your loved ones. You may not have a second chance.

DOCTOR; Madam your blood pressure is very high. It is 190/130mmHg. I want to admit you
PATIENT: No doctor, i cannot stay, i have children at home
DOCTOR: Ma'am, this blood pressure can give you stroke any moment from now. It's an emergency
PATIENT; God forbid, nothing will happen to me. I believe in God
DOCTOR: (visibly frustrated) all of us believe in God, including those that had stroke and d!ed. They believed in God.

The rate at which people play with their health is alarming. If anything happen to her now, her children will suffer. But she's not thinking about that. And to mask her ignorance with religion is frankly annoying.

Nothing is funnier than someone saying they follow back ASAP.
Then when you do follow them, they either air you or quickly unfollow you back when they've gotten what they want.
Funny shit.
