The older i get, the more i realize that someone making time for you is one of the clearest signs they care. Everyone is busy. Everyone has responsibilities and their own battles to fight. So when someone consistently chooses to spend their time with you, checks on you, and makes space for you in their life, it means something. time is one thing we can never get back, and people don't give it away lightly.

Nobody apologizes anymore; they just disappear and call it moving on. Accountability died somewhere between pride and ego. People would rather lose someone than admit they were wrong. We’ve normalized walking away instead of working through it. Communication has become optional; ghosting has become the standard response to discomfort. Even closure isn’t guaranteed anymore—people just leave you with questions and call it self-care.

Even platonically, I love people intensely. Intimacy doesn’t belong exclusively to romantic relationships. I’ll always respect someone’s boundaries, but I think some people are surprised by deep friendship because they’ve never experienced being loved simply because someone genuinely loves them.
