A 17 year old account rarely used with a single follower.
Then one day a Tech Bro posted something insulting and vile about American Labor I couldn't hold back.

From Engineering to an account where we discuss, respectfully disagree, educate and learn about labor, policy, history, and the self - interested corruption of our elite.
Thank you for the support and willingness to fearlessly add your viewpoints for everyone to engage.
We will win this fight through incremental, unending, continuous effort and improvement.
We do it for ourselves | We do it for the prosperity of our youth | We do it until we win
Name a something that would poll better than Byron Donalds or Vivek Ramaswamy if the RNC had chosen a candidate that represented our interests instead of theirs?
I will start. This garden/pool gnome.

Modi has not called Cuba.
Cuba’s bridges, sewers, landfills, and power grid are falling apart and it looks like the border might be coming down. Their pharma plants and small businesses could use engineers, managers, and operators who know how to keep systems running. India graduates more of those people every year than most countries. The same H-1B pipeline that gets sold here as the only way to fill American jobs has not been offered to the island that actually needs the help.
If the talent is that scarce and that good, Cuba is the test. Call Havana. Send the teams. Fix the plants and the treatment works. Show the world how to turn that island into a first world country like India.
The phone has not rung. The visas still land here in the USA where we have plenty of talents already.
@ChiefEngineerCE
@realEstateTrent Geez - company before last - sales guys were peeing in the hotel lobby fountain.
Sales women got booted too for rating the performance.
Yep.
I was sober and left the second I heard a zzzzip.
The higher unemployment in STEM goes the higher the so called anger at H1B becomes the more people are called racist for not accepting it the more tech bros chimp out at us.
It's a cycle where the only reasonable position is the one where you expect America companies to hire Americans first.
@AmitaboB Umm voluntary?
They were promised the world then left to die when used up on docks where ships would never take them home.
There were no laws protecting them
as existed for slaves.
Tragic really.
Erector Set.
Metal beams, nuts, bolts, gears, and a motor that actually ran. You did not drag and drop virtual parts. You cut your fingers tightening real fasteners. You learned load paths, leverage, and what happens when the structure is not square.
You might have also lost those tiny square nuts in the deep shag carpet and had to run a magnet over it to find them, like I did.
No software required. No cloud subscription. Just a kid, a pile of steel, and the stubborn satisfaction of making something that worked.
A lot of the engineers who built the systems we still rely on started exactly there.
Question for our real and honorary engineers:
What was your first real engineering toy, and what did it teach you that a screen never could?
@RandomU75575@ShelMcDougall No it's just a sign that there are thousands placed in position for their woke ideology that actively resist.
Politics did not change the day after the election.
Umm.. yes Indians freaking ran Africa for decades and worked as indentured servants in the Caribbean - did a series on the history of this.
You should seriously look it up.
However, this post is just taking everyone at their word that these H1B creat prosperity and wealth.
In which case .. prove us wrong!
@ZackA137@RedxBaron40k In Florida the governor is incredibly powerful he can fire every single person that is in charge of counting votes.
You have no idea how a blue governor could flip the state plus have many of the same special interests as our legislature.
It would not be deadlocked at all..

Ohio and Florida are both deep red. Trump carried Ohio by 8 to 11 points. He carried Florida by more than 13. Those states should not be toss-ups.
Look at who the RNC and the donor class cleared the field for. Two candidates with checkered pasts who can't seem to find a narrative where their election is in the best interests of the voters.
In Ohio it is Vivek Ramaswamy. Biotech entrepreneur. Never held office. Cleared the primary with Trump’s early endorsement and a war chest that has already spent over $200 million on ads. He is struggling. Polls have the Democrat, former health director Amy Acton, ahead in several averages. The race is rated a toss-up in a state that has not elected a Democrat governor since 2006.
In Florida it is Byron Donalds. Congressman. Trump-endorsed. Raised tens of millions. Facing a former Republican, David Jolly, who switched parties. Florida should not be close either.
Both candidates had the money. The donors who filled those chests expect a return. That return is not a tighter labor market for the people who live in those states. It is the same pipeline that shows up in every other race: the staffing firms, the hospital groups, the contractors, the people who write the checks and expect the seat to stay open for the worker who costs less.
The candidate who might have represented the voters who actually live there was not the one the money sought. The primary was cleared. The field was managed. Now the choice on the ballot is the special-interest candidate or the one the other side is selling as the alternative.
That is why we cannot get away from it. The primary is where the ROI is locked in. By the time the general arrives, the donor has already picked the only Republican the voters are allowed to choose. The Democrat is the other option. Neither one has to answer for the American who wanted a candidate who would put the state first.
I am going to vote against the marxist myself, but feel like the GOP is just as corrupt as ever.
Vote for the one with the donor chest, or vote for the one the donors are happy to run against. That is the menu. The primary was the only place the menu could have been different and spoilers were sent in that could have never cleared a general election challenge.
@ChiefEngineerCE
Three simple questions:
How many state and federal jobs should go to foreign workers?
How many government contracts should we allow foreign labor to be employed in?
Why doesn't our House and Senate care about Americal labor and wages?
If people knew why our universities did this they would revolt.
November 2024 on my timeline you made the first call to get rid of the program - you have consistently been out in front on this issue and still the ONLY politician to meaningfully limit the jobs they can work. Unfortunately, it sunsets on your last day in office if I understand correctly?
@TheRaybender They absolutely play the primary.
Flood it with damaged candidates, groypers, ex politicians, libertarians, folks who will appeal to a small segment that the larger mature voters realize cannot win a general. Suppress turnout
.. you name it.
@RedxBaron40k Vote for the Dem who will absolutely open the border and have us jailed for our X posts just like in England.
Good solid plan there Bill.
