My game's demo just went live. It's a Turn Based Roguelike where you can trade your Turn Order position for more Actions, with Lovecraftian and Psychological Horror themes. If that sounds like something you would enjoy, check it out : https://t.co/koWERIU47u

@NeverSinkDev PS : Creative and technical jobs are already at risk, see : layoffs in the Games/SaaS industry.
IMO this is more investor hype than AI being good enough to replace labor yet in 2026
Entertainment industries have a bigger issue of market saturation, which AI slop will make worse
@NeverSinkDev As a dev with just a fraction of your experience / expertise, I can still see a difference in how I use AI compared to a novice vibe coding.
I feel AI will lead to those with skills getting ahead, and skills will be valued short term. Total replacement is still far away IMO

I'm running an alpha playtest on itch very soon where you can try out the dynamic turns/action economy!

@Curitiba_Fodase@DAKKADAKKA1 Sure, but "I've never heard of it" isn't the yardstick for success.
Steam is HUGE. I've spent years on market analysis and there are still games with 1M+ copies sold that I haven't heard of
Here's the "fire" biome from my game. A soot-choked foundry where the sacred spark of ingenuity is warped into a profane mechanism that manufactures nothing but Agony

@WolfheartFPS Exact same feelings, DOS2 had some of the best turn based combat I've ever experienced, and BG3 didn't come close in that department. The main culprit is definitely tabletop rules, no offense to TTRPG fans
I probably wouldn't be making a turn based game right now if not for DOS2
