A women's resources rep told me I should avoid using the term "penis" when discussing women's needs for single-sex spaces (as in women's spaces for rape victims) because the term is "too sensitive for transgender people".
Women are called uterus-havers...

@HeatherEHeying@HeatherEHeying Thank you!
The same misinformation is in the US Equality Act (https://t.co/J56p4feBn3), which mis-defines sex and aims to strike "sex" from the Civil Rights Act, replaced with "sexual orientation and gender identity" -- its passing would be a catastrophe.
@DrDebraSoh Scientific institutions are not immune to scientific illiteracy and dogmatism. Playing pretend with human physiology harms everyone.
Utterly benign statements on human biology are not "transphobia." It is in no way "anti-trans" to understand sexual dimorphism in humans.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me the name of the social movement for the advancement of the rights and dignities of female people?
Female-ism perhaps? Or some other word? It seems on the tip of my tongue.
Maybe we can start a new one if it doesn't exist?
#SexNotGender
@mymelodyblink Four reasons right off the bat
1. It's narcissistic
2. It's sexist (pressures women to call attention to their sex in workplace, after generations of trying to gain acceptance)
3. It outs trans people
4. It's irrelevant (why not also list astrological sign?)
@lawfullawful1 I'm starting to wonder if that account is a beta version of a new TRA troll bot under development or something. They've got some kinks to work out. π
@lolacoaster@andrea_h1ckey The bar for "TERF" is incredibly low.
These days, if a transwoman breaks the skull of a woman in an MMA fight, one is painted as a TERF for saying men shouldn't fight women (without the woman's consent).
Why do you disregard women's safety and right to fair competition?
@OkBiology@libdemvoice This definition of "transphobia" already includes a false definition of "woman" by fiat, as apparently referring to a transwoman as other than a woman is transphobic
@libdemvoice Self-contradictory! Under this definition, gender affirmative care of minors is transphobic:
"advocating or facilitating any kind of therapy that tries to change a personβs gender identity"
Gender ID is known to change until post-puberty, so intervening on minors is transphobic
@Lefthandedluni @ItsTAmerican@Sparrlyten I'm not calling *you* in particular a fetishist (I don't know you), nor do I in principle have a problem with private paraphilias.
None of that gives you the right to appropriate female physiological functions for your own gratification.
"But nobody is trying to erase biological sex!"
More gaslighting from scientific illiterates.
No rapist asks for their victims' pronouns ffs.

"Nobody is trying to erase biological sex!"
We are tired of being gaslit by scientific illiterates and TRA bozos who know better but deliberately hide the truth.
