One of my grandmotherβs favorite phrases was - nakwa echeki - Its an Engligbo concotion meaning - keep checking or continue examining.
Check and recheck your why.
It is true that your dreams require courage.
But know that it is not the courage to sell yourself to make a dream come true. Because if you are a husk, then what use is a shell living in a dream come true.
Sometimes it is the courage to walk away from what was once a dream.
You change as a person. So your dreams changing is also an act of courage. And yes it can be confusing - Am i giving up? is a question you will ask. And its okay to sit with it. To check if that was really your dream or a popular dream that you bought into.
i agree.
Show Yourself
Shine Your Eye
No Loose Guard
they are all very Nigerian concepts agreed.
But so also is
Show Your Kindness
Shine Your Light
No dey Beef
@dzakari__ Adding one more - i want to please you so that you feel good.
Plus trying to change from being a people pleaser for me has failed. i end up miserable.
This is unpopular, but forgetting a used pad in the bathroom doesnβt make you dirty.
It makes you a forgetful person. Sometimes, things will fill your mind, especially if you bathed immediately after changing, and headed out.
Just saying.
