Mo Zedong is a dictator and everyone knows it

[Shen Shiwei 沈诗伟 @shen_shiwei]

Mao supported African peoples' struggles for independence, including Algeria, the country Mbappé’s family came from.
With his deeply inappropriate remarks, Mbappé has lost the trust of Chinese fans. International brands such as Dior, On and Hublot have also removed Mbappé-related content from Sina Weibo.
Global superstars who profit from China should understand its cultural sensitivities and show basic respect.

Happy Thadingyut Festival to the people of Myanmar!

Known as Myanmar’s Festival of Lights, Thadingyut marks the end of Buddhist Lent (Vassa). Celebrated across the country, the festival sees homes, streets, and pagodas illuminated with candles and colourful lights, symbolising the return of the Lord Buddha from the celestial realm. The festival is also an occasion for families to pay respect to parents, teachers, and elders.

it’s not Burmese, it’s ဗမာ (ba-mar) like shan, ka-chin and ra-khine ethnicity. it’s the largest ethnicity in country mostly live in middle regions or big cities like yangon, mandalay. We all, 135 ethnic groups are literally Burmese (nationality), but not ba-mar (one ethnicity)

@meaniemind u sure gmmtv will issue the statement if things don’t escalate? we ask for credit but they said inspiration and we dont accept it.

[🫥 ¹²⁷ @Chil127Angel]

@meaniemind gmmtv said they got inspirational from burmese culture but nvr mentioned they will give credit on the show or not. just bc it’s fictional doesn’t mean u could use a country’s identity and culture as inspiration WITHOUT PROPER STATEMENT or declaration BEFORE.

u lived in thailand but not in myanmar so u hav no fking voice to talk abt myanmar ppl and their culture

[xavi @gayboyxv]

😅😅I’m in Africa yes but I also lived in Thailand for more than a decade so yes I know what I’m talking about lolll. Find another excuse!

[🫥 ¹²⁷ @Chil127Angel]

@samr33n_22 whole country tried to make it up but military dictatorship happened again in 2021 and continues till today. every country has their own problems, thailand as well but one social issue shouldn’t lead to unrelated problems. all we asking is to give proper credit to our culture

[🫥 ¹²⁷ @Chil127Angel]

@samr33n_22 most of us voicing out today are in 20, which means we were in early 10 or around 10 when those happened and no internet connection or media coverage at that time.
we didnt have absolute no ideas what we happening actually. back in 2015 and onwards,

Oh hmm not that u cannot take inspiration from other cultures (actually u can't unless u publicly mention it firsthand during writing stage) but it's a bit weird to use others cultures when you ARE a country that rich of cultures as well🤓 like...& it's better to add

[TAYTAWAN Myanmar Fanpage 🌻 @TayTawanMyanmar]

Not every Burmese person knows how to perform the 𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐢𝐥-𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, and that is precisely why its cultural identity deserves recognition.

Myanmar is home to many ethnic groups, including the Rakhine, Bamar, Shan, Mon, Karen, Kachin, Chin, and others. Each has its own cultural traditions, artistic expressions, and heritage. Being part of the same country does not make every tradition common to every ethnic group.

The Rakhine traditional oil-lamp (Si-mee) dance, also known as Buddha Pujaniya, is a distinctive expression of Rakhine cultural heritage. Its devotional meaning is closely connected to Buddhism and offerings to the Three Jewels: the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha. The dancers move gracefully while balancing lamps on their palms, accompanied by devotional songs and traditional music.

The Rakhine oil-lamp dance is a distinctive form of Rakhine traditional performing art, associated with Buddhist devotional offerings. Its choreography, music, and cultural significance form part of Rakhine heritage and should not be treated as a generic traditional dance without acknowledging its origins.

When such a culturally specific performance appears in #ScarletHeartThailand, its historical and cultural origins warrant careful research. If Rakhine cultural elements have been incorporated into the series, their origins should be accurately identified and appropriately acknowledged.

We sincerely hope @GMMTV and the @ScarletHeartTH production team will address these concerns, provide proper credit for verified Myanmar cultural influences, and issue an official statement clarifying the historical references behind the relevant scenes.

now im just fucking pissed bro why the fuck are these people so fucking entitled turning this into a political debate and saying we have bigger issues and shit how about its just us trying to keep the last thing that belongs to us which is our culture and history

[🫥 ¹²⁷ @Chil127Angel]

@Unknown385244 @kathneri shared but not a single thailand history has the costumes like that. BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER A SHARED TRADITION
