#Cooperative alliance of groups serving children and young people at risk of social isolation through disability, mental health or any other additional need.
@SEND_Action No SEND familiy would need recourse to the arms of the law if the system was fair and trust had not been so eroded . All of education needs to start again with a customised approach to holistic child development and learn to share resources equitably
This judgement does not show anyone deliberately sabotaged children's schooling to appear better in league tables.
It doesn't mean the incentive isn't there?
It doesn't mean children who don't fit the median scheme aren't marginalised and excluded?

Don't repair the system; change it!
Good read. Although this applies to SEND and Alternative Provision, a different system (perhaps including the school-community partnerships CQ has put forward) could benefit most children. https://t.co/Iqk9xEcs5A

We run summer sessions for disabled children and their friends. Some families come even though their kids aren't disabled. We welcome them in when we can. The kids always have a good time; but some adults feel awkward - #embarrassed by #difference?
What would you say?
Love is a practice, not a choice or a feeling (something parents and carers know well). Sometimes it leaves us feeling worn out. We might need a community - a wider family - to care and support us too.
What keeps you going as a practitioner of love?

@jessphillips Well said Jess - hereโs to a post binary world united by all our common human needs not divided by competing rights agendas - where we can all lose sight of the biggest inequality of all which is distribution of wealth

Councils sometimes expect deference from third sector coalitions like ours. But we are honest with them - even when they fail.
We got used to being ignored, patronised, undermined, sidelined.
We don't care. We're still here to help
