#Texas#Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian on if sophomore DB Graceson Littleton could move from nickel CB to outside CB:
"Surely, you're going to see Graceson do both. You're going to see him playing some nickel and some at corner. You're going to see Xavier Filsaime playing some safety and some nickel. And I'm using those two guys as an easy example, but I think a lot of our guys we're going to try to develop them to do more than just being kind of one trick ponies. The more they can do, the better it's going to be for us long term ."
Steve Sarkisian says "naturally, we had a fair amount of offseason injuries but I don't think any more or any less than we've had throughout the years."
Says everything is "progressing well." Not much of an update.
Players who had procedures were Xavier Filsaime (shoulder), Trevor Goosby (shoulder), Emmett Mosley V (ankle), Ty’Anthony Smith (shoulder), Ryan Wingo (wrist). Those players were all listed as expected to be back 100 percent healthy by the season.
Breaking: North Texas is set to hire UTSA Safeties Coach Corey Jordan as new Cornerbacks Coach.
Jordan joined UTSA as director of player personnel in 2024. Prior to that he spent the prior 8 years as defensive coordinator at McKinney High and West Mesquite in DFW. Another big #TXHSFB connection for Coach Neal Brown and this North Texas staff.
