Yesterday, we joined TDs and Senators at Leinster House to call for a National Hearing Care Plan.
🔹 Over 28,000 people are waiting for HSE audiology services, half of them children.
🔹 300,000 adults in Ireland live with significant hearing loss, which, if unmanaged, increases the risk of cognitive decline, depression and social isolation.
🔹 The current system is unregulated and inequitable, it’s time for change.
We’re urging the Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, to progress the development of the long-overdue National Hearing Care Plan.
👂 Early access to hearing tests and treatment is vital. One in three of us will experience hearing loss. We need to make hearing care accessible for everyone.
