We applaud Assemblywoman @JeniferRajkumar's new bill. Our research found that between 2018 and 2023, the state of New York spent an additional $2,440,090 on restricted Chinese technology from Lexmark, Inc. and Lenovo, Inc.
NEW BILL! Cyber safety is essential. I am proud to announce my new bill A9312, which prohibits all state and local procurement of tech that poses a security threat.
New York State spends tens of millions of dollars on tech so vulnerable to cyberattacks that the @DeptofDefense determined its use is a threat to national security. Some of this tech is banned from federal procurement. When my bill passes we will align our purchasing policies with federal law, protecting the safety of our IT infrastructure.
Senator Keim shared, “China is not our friend. They are collecting information & our data for purposes that are not beneficial to us & have been doing it for years. We absolutely have to stop this in state government. We need to do this to protect our people and our businesses.”
Fantastic News out of Nebraska! Sen. @BostarEliot's LB1300 passed final approval 46-0 and will now head to Governor @TeamPillen for his approval.
We hope to see @TeamPillen sign this great piece of legislation into law, to secure a safer future for Nebraskans.
How might a state law in NE influence whether a conflict occurs in the Pacific region?

This reform to protect Utah public data and comms is inches away from heading to the governor.
HB 404 only needs to return for a concurrence vote in the House. @CandicePierucci
