On June 30, FM Wang Yi held a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. FM Wang said:

— #China and the #US need to remove disruptions, overcome obstacles, and stay firmly on the right course toward building a constructive bilateral relationship of strategic stability.

— Both sides should always uphold the spirit of equality, respect and mutual benefit, and translate the important consensus reached by the two heads of state into specific policies and practical measures.

— Both sides need to expand the list of cooperation, shorten the list of problems, and manage all kinds of risks.

— The Taiwan question has far-reaching implications. It is hoped that the U.S. side will handle Taiwan-related issues with extra prudence.

Both sides agreed that this phone conversation was positive and constructive, and agreed to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and continue to maintain communication through various flexible means.

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will confer the July 1 Medal, the Party's highest honor, on model CPC members at a gathering marking the Party's 105th founding anniversary.

Xi will deliver an important speech at the event at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

At the gathering, outstanding Party members, Party workers, and primary-level Party organizations from across the country will also be honored.

President Xi Jinping sent a message of sympathies to Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodríguez over the devastating earthquakes.

In addition to previous cash aid, China is donating RMB100 million worth of emergency supplies to support #Venezuela’s disaster response & reconstruction. Satellite imagery is being shared to guide rescue operations. Chinese companies and associations of overseas Chinese voluntarily sent machinery, medical supplies and rescue teams to the quake zones.

China stands ready to offer more support in light of Venezuela’s need.
