@ShireH0DL Makes a lot of sense. There is always the risk of “black swan” events thst are unforeseen such as risks to the mining network in the future or perhaps something like quantum computing/AI.
@CryptoWizardd@coinbase One can always take their crypto off exchanges, but ultimately this regulation will allow institutions to invest on exchanges and that will drive prices higher for everyone.
@arenb@LPNH Remember when we saved Europe during WWII and paid to rebuild it. And how about our assistance in ending the war in Bosnia. How many countries has Cuba and Russia helped?
@ElectionWoes@LPNH That is incredibly cynical and nonetheless people still end up donating roughly 60% of each dollar. Congress allows this donation legally to help fund charities and it works to create some of the most benevolent and expansive ones on the planet.
@FranklinBased@LPNH Then our version of it certainly appears much better to all the true dictatorship citizens who want to come here and then stay. We have opportunity compared to others and a decently functioning bill of rights.
@realjuliasong A country has to determine when its interests are threatened enough to justify intervention just like WWII. Waiting until a stated enemy gets the upper hand by a direct attack is foolish. We should do more at our border as well!
@ZssBecker The idea that Russia is the moral equivalent of the United States because we also attack places is specious nonsense. At a higher level, over decades we have given aid around the world and supported increasing standards of living across the planet-
even non Democracies.
I join the world in awe of true heroes: the courageous President Zelensky, the brave Ukrainian soldiers, the citizen armies, the mothers cradling frightened children, and the journalists risking their lives to bring us truth. God bless them and God bless us to never forget.
