Most CTE teachers are singletons - the only one in their building teaching their course. PLCs are weren’t designed for them, and sadly it shows.

That’s the problem I have been researching. Just submitted my Problem of Practice and Literature Review to end semester 2 of the EdD!

Prosper Walnut Grove’s “Wildcat BBQ” takes home a state championship for their carrot cake dessert!

Head coach Brett Claypoole said football coach Tommy Allison, an assistant BBQ coach, gave this squad a “Miracle-esque” pump-up speech on Thursday.

Three regional competitions, three Grand Champion wins— @WalnutGroveHS Varsity BBQ just secured the hat trick 🔥🏆 Taking 1st out of 31 teams at Fort Worth and 1st out of 23 in Baird last fall, the group competed at home in Prosper and sealed the deal with another 1st place finish – becoming the first BBQ team in district history to win three Grand Championships in one season. With the level of support and opportunities Prosper ISD provides, these students are excelling at their craft—and now they’ve got their sights set on a state championship win.
