Brits student Henry Nowak (18) werd met een ceremonieel zwaard neergestoken door Vickrum Digwa uit India. Digwa’s familie hielp mee om een leugen te fabriceren door Henry af te schilderen als “racist” en het zwaard te verstoppen. Na herhaaldelijk aandringen zijn de bodycambeelden inmiddels openbaar gemaakt.

Nadat de politie eindelijk op locatie was, hebben de agenten de bloedende Henry geboeid terwijl ze sarcastische opmerkingen maakten en lachten toen Henry aangaf gestoken te zijn en niet te kunnen ademen. Meermaals gaf Henry dit aan, de politie nam hem niet serieus. Uiteindelijk is Henry met handboeien om doodgebloed op de grond. Digwa en zijn familie stonden erbij en keken ernaar.

Dit is het resultaat van jarenlange anti-blanke sentimenten vanuit de media, instituties en politiek. Ook in Nederland herkennen we deze sentimenten. En over media gesproken: waarom zijn de Nederlandse media hier zo stil over?
