My Dad was not much of a teaching mentor, but he gave me one nugget that has served me well. It was the summer before my Senior Year of college and I was quite full of myself. My Dad said “Son, I Love You. But I have known farmers in the field who were more intelligent than you. Getting a degree proves 2 things. 1)you have the ability to learn and 2)you can set a long range goal of 4-5 years and complete the task. He hired a LOT of people as #2 in Purchasing for P&W Aircraft in FL. His comment was 100% spot on. With eyes wide open, I have met “uneducated” men who were highly intelligent. Some could solve difficult mechanical problems. One (unofficially) runs the plant at NextEra Energy. Someone educated will say “that can’t be done” and then he shows them how it can be done. Henry Ford had 8th grade education but MADE his engineers invent the V8 engine, despite them telling him that it couldn’t be done.

Jesus said it would be better for a millstone (HUGE HEAVY stone used for grinding grain) to be tied around a child abusers neck and they were thrown in the sea. How does THAT stack up to what the Holy church is doing? 🤔 STILL NOT turning abusers over to the authorities (as Jesus was). Yes, I’m mad. At the ABSOLUTE HYPOCRISY of a “world leader in religion”.
