AOC: In some ways, you kind of want this guy on a golf course more than you want him in the Oval Office. But that also calls into question the 25th Amendment, because if the determination is that Trump cannot be trusted in the Situation Room, then he’s not fit to be president.
This is unreal:
"As tensions escalated, one U.S. official went so far as to invoke the Avignon Papacy, the period in the 1300s when the French Crown leveraged its military power to dominate the papal authority. The Department of Defense and the Nunciature did not respond to requests for comment."
Listen to what this psychologist has to say:
"Trump has the most severe personality disorder a human being can have.”
“The world is in a hell lot of trouble, because the most powerful man in the world is both evil and demented."
It was at this point that our Founders thought the best thing to do would be to remove a mad man who has the executive office. It became more formalized with the 25th amendment, but more people now should be calling for this man’s removal.
Reports now that Hegseth oversold the war to Trump and underestimated Iran's willingness to fight back.
It's almost as if he's unqualified for his job. Too bad the Senate didn't have confirmation hearings; those would have proven his manifest unsuitability to lead the Pentagon.
More than two years after a shooting in the bleachers of a White Sox game, the central question remains: Where did the gunfire originate? https://t.co/uDYEonC11D
Well now I need to know where the heck this guy was between 1991 and 1998.
Imagine living in Illinois and sitting out from the 90s bulls and then it’s the year 2026 and the bulls go 0-11 in February and you think “yup, that’s my team!”
Fascinating. How could it be?
Obama: Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions.
Another setback to the idea of the rule of law. An offense to common decency. Every day you wake up to things you just didn’t think were possible. Each day we’re told by those in high office to fear each other and to turn on each other, and that some Americans count more than others, and that some don’t even count at all.
Everywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated, and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength. We see science and expertise denigrated, while ignorance and dishonesty and cruelty and corruption are reaping untold rewards. Every single day. We see that, and it’s hard to hope.
Even if you take the conservative defense of each ICE killing, you’re left with “We haphazardly scaled up a poorly trained police force to storm into neighborhoods that voted against the president, where we antagonize the local population until someone resists arrest, and then we kill them,” which is morally horrendous on top of being an absurd way to do immigration policy.
The most striking thing to me is that the the CBP officer pushes a woman onto the ground and the man is trying to protect her from them and help her up when they tackle him and then shoot him. It’s one of the most upsetting things I’ve ever seen happen in America
