Reportedly, Constitutional Amendment Bill to AUTOMATICALLY remove PM, CMs & Ministers from office if detained for 30 consecutive days in serious criminal cases, likely to be tabled in Monsoon Session.

JPC is likely to adopt report before 20 July, clearing the path for the bill.

30 days is enough time to get bail as per Indian Judicial Standards that say 'Bail is the norm & Jail is exception' and if someone is not able to get bail within 30 days also....it means there are substantial & undeniable evidences against the accused Post-holder. Therefore, such Automatic Removal does not Violate any Principle of Natural Justice.

Some safeguards may be added to prevent political misuse.

Bharat must thank Kejriwal for this Bill. He had refused to resign as CM despite being in jail for months.
