While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are Not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest.
Seeing so much hate & divide online makes me wonder if bad elements in & outside our country have already started to work overtime to weaponise the anger & frustration felt by our students.
I have always believed in hard work, equality and excellence & that should never be compromised. I also believe in our democracy, law and order & our government, therefore I sincerely hope that both sides enter into meaningful & constructive dialogue & weed out any nefarious elements & agendas out of this protest & conversation , so the future is bright for our youth and for our democracy ! 🇮🇳 Jai Hind !

@IndiGo6E my flight is scheduled on May 14 from mumbai to srinagar and return on May 20th. We have booked before April 22nd. We don't wish to proceed with our journey and we are hopping for full refund. @PIBHomeAffairs@PMOIndia@ministry
Let’s all unite together in condemning the detention of ISKON Bangladesh Priest ‘ Chinmoy Krishna Das’ by Bangladesh police. We urge and plead Bangladesh Govt under Sri Mohammed Yunus to stop atrocities on Hindus.
Indian army blood has been spilled , our resources had been spent , our Army Jawans lives had lost for Bangladesh formation.
We are deeply disturbed the way our Hindu brothers and sisters are being targeted.
We plead @UN@UNinIndia to intervene.
The Sabarmati Report.
I lived through the Godhra carnage and subsequent riots in Gujarat. I saw what was happening around me and how media was reporting, including mainstream media in Gujarat.
Over the years, I have become skeptical when it comes to movies, books which suggest they are the truth about Gujarat riots.
Mostly because they almost always want to show their version of truth - that too about the riots. But not the burning alive of 59 people which triggered the riots.
For the first time, a movie is showing that the carnage was a pre-planned conspiracy. Not 'cooking stove' theory or 'cigarette butt' theory.
Here are some of my thoughts on the movie + the carnage and subsequent riots.
What I did not like about the movie was something I could overlook because of all the pluses of the film.
I wish there are movies, books which call out the role of people like Mukul Sinha and charlatans like @TeestaSetalvad who continued to keep the pot boiling for their own political and personal gains.
Sinha passed away of cancer the day Modi became Prime Minister in 2014 and Setalvad is accused of parroting the riot victims as well as embezzling money she collected for riot relief.
Someday their truths will also come out. And hopefully I shall live to see that day.
