The Math;
a) Zambia buys 360 million liters Saudi fuel. We can buy from Angola
b) Angola spends $500M on Brazilian beef. They could buy from Namibia
c) Mozambique spends $312 Million on coal. They could buy from Zim
This money can stay here in SADC, building our economies !!
Africa will no longer accept to be misjudged by the scales of global credit rating agencies that overlook our reality.
By relying on flawed models, outdated assumptions, and systemic bias, these agencies have painted an unfair picture of our economies, leading to distorted ratings, exaggerated risks, and unjustifiably high borrowing costs.
The establishment of an Africa Credit Rating Agency, backed by credible data that accurately reflects Africa’s reality, will unlock the much-needed finance to fund the continent’s development programmes and bring meaningful change to the people.
Joined Presidents @TebbouneAmadjid (Algeria), @TayeAtske (Ethiopia) and @HHichilema (Zambia) during a High-Level Presidential Breakfast Dialogue on the Establishment of the Africa Credit Rating Agency, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

@ian_milimo Everything else revolves around food security and livelihoods improvement. Once these get sorted a large portion of the drivers of deforestation and ultimately CC will have bn addressed.
@monicamusonda Unfortunately, it's far too common, one can't just watch close family members suffer on account of saving, perhaps it's a case of not enough incomes. Otherwise, both shud happen simultaneously to avoid questions of inability to save, when it's the same folks one kept helping.
The SDG Moment in this age of possibilities gives us a choice:
Stop divesting from each other, and start investing in each other.
Stop de-funding development, and start financing SDG transitions.
The SDGs remain achievable if we act now.
Way to go, Government need to protect the interests of the citizens and provide necessary reliefs...despite Govt goodwill by foregoing taxes in RE technologies the benefit hasn't trickled down to citizens....way to go ZESCO
Disinformation is polluting information systems at a speed & scale never seen before.
