Yesterday, I had the distinct honour and privilege of being entrusted by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, to represent him at the official opening of ED Block at Millennium Heights.

It was a great privilege to witness first-hand the remarkable progress of this visionary development, for which His Excellency had the honour of breaking ground.

ED Block stands in a class of its own. With 130 exceptional apartments, including 10 luxurious penthouses, it represents a new benchmark in quality, design and modern living in Zimbabwe.
The broader Millennium Heights development is an ambitious vision comprising 10 blocks and approximately 1,500 residences and apartments—a significant investment that reflects confidence in Zimbabwe's future and the possibilities that exist when vision, enterprise and leadership converge.
I was particularly encouraged to see the 1 BILLION BRICKS vision of Mr. Ken Sharpe taking tangible shape and to witness the remarkable contribution that His Excellency's leadership and support have made in helping bring this vision to fruition.

As a Presidential Envoy and Ambassador-at-Large, I remain deeply honoured to serve and to represent the President on occasions that showcase Zimbabwe's progress, excellence and investment potential.

A new standard has been set. A vision is becoming reality. Zimbabwe is building for the future.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Hon. Prof. Murwira said China has granted Zimbabwe zero tariffs on 8,000 tariff lines, giving exporters cheaper access to China’s 1.4 billion consumers. He noted that products must still meet Chinese regulations and qualifications, as was done for blueberries and avocados, for exporters to benefit. The preferential access runs until 30 April 2028, and government is already negotiating a new arrangement to secure the market beyond that date and stimulate increased production in Zimbabwe.
