The same traits that get you to the top
make you politically vulnerable once you’re there.
At some point,it’s no longer about performance.
it’s politics & optics.
Misread the ego map.
Fail to manage up.

Unpopular book opinion :
Not all readers are the same. The idea that it doesn't matter what you read as long as you are reading isn't primarily true.
Your mind is formed by what you feed it.What you read does infact matter.

After almost 2 years I spent some time in lsk over the last week & a half. Based off of social media hype & visual aesthetic,I made it a point to visit some of these "must visit" places for hair, make up, nails, clothes etc. I must say I was grossly disappointed and underwhelmed.
Haven’t really been here since it was still Twitter… logged back in and the first thing I’m greeted by “blank nails” 😂 😂.
Names changed, but the chaos? Timeless.
Dear Christian, let’s strive not to be petty. So if you feel;
1. Someone doesn't greet you, greet them.
2. Someone doesn't invite you to their events, it's no problem.
3. Someone doesn't host you, host them in your home.
We love the superficial idea of servanthood and humility because in our pride we like to be considered virtuous. But we do not like it when we are treated as servants and opportunities for humility come our way. True humility counts others as more significant than yoursel.
One implication of growth and godliness in a Christian is that they become easy to live and work with and difficult to offend. Volatile, temperamental, inconsiderate and overly sensitive individuals do not reflect Christlikeness.
Dear Christian, you are not in competition with anyone. Your heavenly Father is in full supply of blessings to give his children. Do not fret when you see others receiving God's gifts. Rejoice with them and praise your father for his goodness to you and others.
Dear Christian, the right responses to tragedy anywhere and anytime are grief, sorrow and weeping, not theological and political debates. Beware of becoming insensitive to loss of life. And beware of missing the lesson that God in providence may be teaching us.
