Have you heard of the #DefaultModeNetwork (DMN) in our #brain? Most haven’t, but I think it’s worth your while. Almost all of us have it turned on many times a day from the moment we’re born (premature babies don’t have it on yet!).
Well, for one it shows how hard wired we are for the #emotional#connection with others. However, I personally find a lot of comfort in the thought that from the moment we arrive we’re #BornToCare, literally.

Over the last 2 weeks I have interviewed dozens of senior managers and execs for @TrySoulbound
about the negative effects of #hybridwork on #socialconnections in their #teams. The three most heard issues caused by this new environment were (1/x)
(4/6) Stifled #CareerDevelopment - Starting a new job is hard if you don’t know anyone; learning on the job is more difficult if you don’t rub shoulders with seniors; and being top of mind for a promotion still seems strongly linked to being seen in the office.
(3/6) Reduced #Collaboration - Miscommunications happen more often if your mental model of a colleague isn’t up to date; Not seeing a colleague, sometimes literally when they're dialling in; or trust has waned due to limited interactions.
