@russvickers You can make a claim from 1st March (if your employees were furloughed then) up to 4th May (as you can only claim for a maximum of 14 days in advance)

@dubliciousfood @CleddauRacing @MartinSLewis You input your claim period, then how many employees you are claiming for, then the total figure you are claiming. It will then ask you to input details of each employee (name, NI number & payroll ID (optional). If you have under 100 employees you input them all on one claim

@BertrandRustles @Cmacca38 @MartinSLewis I’ve read you can’t claim for more than 14 days ahead so if you put in your claim today you can only claim up to 4th May. I believe that’s what is meant by the 14 days but you can claim back from 1st March. Hope that helps! I guess this stops people claiming too much in advance

@kate_a_scott @HMRCcustomers What are you putting in for your claim period? I’ve done it for the pay period but that doesn’t equal to 3 consecutive weeks. However the other remaining weeks would go in the next claim. So confusing!

@HMRCcustomers As the gov website says ‘employees hired after 28th feb cannot be furloughed or claimed for in accordance with this scheme’ - my employee was hired before 28th feb.

But then the gov website also says ‘Furloughed employees must have been on your PAYE payroll on 28 February 2020’
