We took some time to do National Geographic Earth Day personality quizzes, sign our Amplify Earth Day 2022 pledge, and write one thing we could do to make the Earth a cleaner place on mini Earths! All of the kids were respectful and attentive. I have high hopes for our future!!
We then went outside to take 3 quiet minutes to connect with and observe nature around us. We then shared 5 things we saw, 4 things we heard, 3 things we felt, 2 things we smelled, and 1 thing we wondered. The kids did a great job just being and were bummed to go back inside!
2. I moved into my first solo apartment! The only thing missing is a cat (working on that 😉)
3. My family moved back from Colorado which has been a blessing! It’s so nice getting to see my parents every week!
Not really # 4 but I’ve been out sick for 2 days and I miss my kids
Wow it’s been a while since I’ve been on this account!! Life updates are in order!
1. I got a job at the middle school I attended as a 7/8 science teacher. I LOVE IT! I was worried middle school wasn’t the right age for me but boy oh boy was I wrong.
Being an educator >>>
My colleagues surprised me after school yesterday by showing up to what I thought was just girl’s night with my CT. It’s going to be so hard to leave this awesome staff :(
I love educators. Even when we have zoom technical difficulties, no one gets upset because we understand that challenges arise and we can power through them
I’m currently attending a virtual conference for education and when I tell you it’s blowing my mind...
There are so many ways we can improve education for our students and the first step is believing in them and reminding them of their abilities! #education#inclusivity
Just realized my last class with @seaweedcynthia is Wednesday. To say I’m sad that my time being in her classes is almost over would be an understatement 😭 #KSCbio
Hi plant friends! I’m taking a class about farming with nature in mind and we are currently talking about agroecology. Have any of y’all heard of agroecology and if so do you use any practices on your own farm/plot?
I love my lab, I love my advisor, I love my labbies. I never pictured myself working in a lab but it’s been the best experience I’ve had in college and I can’t wait for one more year with the best people in the best lab (but maybe I’m a little biased 😉)
