@StormChaserHTX@abc13houston@TxStormChasers It happened SO quick today. I was up in the woodlands, and water just started coming I pulled into a doctors office lot and waited for an hour.
@cpenny81 Hey Chad! Found you on my late night weatherwise app check. As a new to Houston gal that’s never lived in a hurricane area, thank you for doing this.
A massive, life-threatening tornado is on the ground south of Kankakee, Illinois right now. This is an extremely dangerous situation. Ryan is LIVE tracking this severe weather outbreak. Tune into the stream immediately for critical updates and safety information. https://t.co/ah9STURfIw
@sglockett The farm is over there, it is rough but it is passable. We had friends go from 30E down 215 and left on 202. It took AWHILE and was a lot of dodging down limbs but it is possible.
@joel_off_air We have an extra hog heater and four propane cylinders left! If they need it let me know! We can also make a run for propane or anything needed!
I grew up off Lake Michigan and had a tree come through my bedroom at night. That sound does not leave you, I’m so glad everyone is ok
@StaceyJSpiehler Growing up right off Lake Michigan where we get a harsh winter I’ve even told my family this is unlike anything we’ve ever seen! It’s bad bad! I’m lucky to know how to drive in this and have been helping where need be! If you know any students who need a ride to safety, I’m here!
I appreciate the brine on the roads in Oxford before the storm, however did anyone who has lived up north let them know if it rains the brine is going to be washed off the roads?
@PillenEmSoft As someone who lived off Lake Michigan until 18 years old, and then moved down to Mississippi it is not just “be prepared”. We do not have the infrastructure down here, the roads are composed differently, the power lines are not reinforced, the water lines are not as deep.
