@janusfilms@nytimes@Festival_Cannes I watched #EOfilm 2 weeks ago & still can't think about it again as I start getting upset. No idea how ppl were able to watch in theater w/o making a pitiful scene. Beautiful, heart-rending...rearranged stuff in my brain.
@thehighsign Thx for clarifying! I have Criterion & I want to watch...but it sounds like I will need to be mentally prepared for donkey hardship. Stories about beasts of burden always get me. :(
@thehighsign For just a split second, thought you meant Jenny from Banshees of Inisherin. EO looks incredible but sad. Does one need to be in the "right frame of mind"?
@ericjlawrence Could it be due to the studio biz model being based on certain bankablity, ie proven franchise? Doesn't drive a lot of originality or chance-taking.
@ericjlawrence I am very sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He always had a smile on his face & I knew I was in the presence of a truly nice person.
People who have the huge good fortune to enjoy good health, and then think that proves how clever they are - yeah, they're not my favourite kind of people.
