The only argument in favor of the opposite is that mail-order voting has greatly increased turnout.

@neontaster Sure, but there is no one "system." Elections are local, and there are *thousands of them*. It's never going to be perfect, so the best way to combat them is for people who know better to step up and say, "No, there's no controversy here."

The only bad news for the Republicans is that they lost the White House; they expanded and diversified their national base, took seats in the House, kept the Senate, and won a ton of statehouses.
