I think we may have been reading LenaMiu slightly wrong when we call them “shy” with each other.

Because put them on an event stage and there’s restraint. They’re affectionate, but there’s an obvious awareness of the cameras, the audience and the fact that they’re working.

But let the setting get smaller and more familiar, and suddenly that supposed shyness becomes rather difficult to find.

Take the edit Miu reposted yesterday. So many of its little snippets come from BTS, vlogs, or moments shared by the crew or by them. Hugging it out before they even eat, getting teased by the crew for being wrapped around each other, constantly leaning in, touching, clinging.

Privacy doesn’t necessarily mean distance. Sometimes it means being very particular about who gets access to what.

And perhaps that is the better read on LenaMiu. They don’t seem shy about affection when they’re inside their own bubble. They seem selective about how much of that bubble becomes public.

Because once they forget about the room, the difference is rather loud. 🦋🧸
