This Tory government's aim to "max out" on North Sea fossil fuels up until 2050 is the most duplicitous and cynical abuse of power, and a devastating lack of vision and leadership. Can't wait to see them gone. https://t.co/YLQlZQRBkM
But even venture capitalists know they don’t get rich on their own. Public investment - in education, infrastructure, skills, health - is vital to create growth. It’s time this government remembered that age-old truth: when the strong help the weak, it makes us all stronger.
The @LibDems campaign is already in full swing .. ready for when she does resign. The @LibDems victor at recent Somerton and Frome by-election, @SarahDykeLD let campaigning in Mid Bedfordshire yesterday 🔸️ 🔶️
This thread has been re-discovered today it seems. If the BBC is going to apologise for anything, I hope it’s for its total and abject failure to critically report on Nigel Farage
Farage works for GBNews. As it did during Brexit, GBNews’ owner makes millions shorting Farage’s target NatWest.
A hedge fund owner should never be allowed to own a media company that can move markets. Beyond conflict of interest. It’s market abuse
The PPE scandal has produced not a single scalp.
Farage has his bank account closed and heads tumble.
As an indicator of how badly wrong this government’s assessment of risks might be, this says it all.
As the BBC’s reported, Unilever's profits have soared after it raised its prices. Profits are up over 20%. I very much doubt wages will have increased by anything like that much outside the boardroom. So much for all the crap about wages forcing up prices. https://t.co/8pbjsM8gP5
THE Liberal Democrats have selected Claire Young to fight the South Gloucestershire parliamentary seat of Thornbury and Yate at the next election. The seat and its Northavon constituency precursor was held by Steve Webb for the Lib Dems from 1997 - 2015

This story is not just about Dan Wootton. It’s about a culture in which concerning behaviour thrives in our established press.
Here is part two of @BylineTimes’ special investigation 👇
What the papers don’t say. Outside of the system.

The last Apollo mission landed on the Moon in 1972, and if all goes according to plan, NASA will be sending astronauts back there near the end of the next decade. Why has it taken us over 50 years to go back to the Moon?

A swing of 29% puts the Somerton and Frome result amongst the best ever by-election swings in British political history.
The people of Somerton and Frome have spoken for the rest of the country who are fed up with Rishi Sunak’s out-of-touch Conservative government.
The Farage Coutts non-scandal, amplified by the BBC, is a sign that the Andrew Neil/Robbie Gibb faction is still fighting to control the public broadcaster.
Like the Tax Payers Alliance and Crony COVID contracts, just rich people making us pay for them
I am so proud of the campaigns the Liberal Democrats have run and the candidates who have stood proudly for our vision of a fair deal for the British people.
Sarah, Matt and Blaise have all stood up for their communities against this out-of-touch Conservative government.
Since the 2019 General Election, I've spoken in more debates than any other Oxfordshire MP.
Some of the issues I've spoken about in Parliament this year are:
💷 The Cost of Living Crisis
🏢 Funding for school buildings
👩⚕️ GP provision
🚧 Funding for transport infrastructure
My Tory MP @JGray came to our farm in Sept 2016 to discuss #Brexit impact on our business.
He wouldn’t listen and ordered us to accept that we would be fine going WTO. He claimed that in 5 years time, we’d be booming.
In 2020 on NFU zoom call, he told us Wilts farmers that we are irrelevant out of his 75k voters.
This week he emailed moaning about traffic management of @wiltshirepolice and @Glos_Police at Badminton and Fairford Airshow but refused to accept these events have been hampered by Brexit impact on EU FoM and labour. And Tory MPs have done nothing to help rural police forces with lowest funding levels.
Tories are no longer the party for the countryside.
