Just found an absolutely stonking male Collared Flycatcher at Creachan, a species I've been dreaming of finding for years! This is the first for Barra and the third for the Outer Hebrides.
Picked up the Least Tern at Baltray, Co. Louth this evening. Only seen twice briefly late this evening. The fifth year in a row I’ve seen this bird! @BirdGuides@LouthBirdNews
Was hoping for Garganey on my check of breeding wetland birds in West #Tiree today but was surprised to find this un-ringed drake Wood Duck instead @BirdGuides@PatchBirding
Hoylake…an interesting looking drake Scoter that really stood out from the crowd this morning. Out on tideline at low water, off Hoylake RNLI. @PatchBirding
@01000011S@RSPBHamWall@somersetbirds@Bristol On the North side, fighting a European Bittern in one of the ditches. He said it was about a third smaller than the EB with brown head and more contrast between flight feathers and coverts
Any @RSPBHamWall birders available? A gentleman has reported an American Bittern but currently no volunteers around to refind it - anyone fancy the glory? @somersetbirds@bristol
23rd Dec at Wamm Farms, UAE I discovered 2 odd large pipits, there were found independently the next day and Simon Lloyd confirmed there were 3 Paddyfield Pipits after that. 3rd for UAE & Greater Western Pal if accepted #UAEbirding@_OSME https://t.co/j1HxJELqjc
